Planting peas

It was a quiet day in the garden for me.  It started at midnight when I did slug patrol around the yard.  It seems as if our nightly efforts are paying off in fewer slugs and snails.  In the morning I transplanted out some pac choi which had been started from seed in early April and was now ready to transplant into the garden.  Pac choi grows quickly and should be ready to eat shortly.  Here is a pic of the transplanted plants.  You can also see the edge of the covering which I use when completing the planting of peas.  I planted another round of Legacy shelling peas today.  Some of the early plantings are just beginning to flower.

Readings from the new composting systems (see previous blogs) were taken this morning.  The Compostumbler was at 146 degrees F, and the Lifetime 80 gallon tumbler was at 108 degrees F.  Both were heating nicely.
The main thing we did today was to stack wood.  While not a garden project it kept us outdoors and working hard.  We stacked about 1 and 1/3 cord of firewood, then took delivery of another cord which we have to stack before Saturday (and the next cord).  It is actually quite doable with two people at once.
Here are a few pictures of flowers blooming in our yard today.  Can you identify them?
